European E-Participation Portal

I came across this project during some random web browsing.

Its claimed aim is to identify

  • People with involvement or experience in eParticipation at the European level.
  • eParticipation initiatives, projects, events, etc., especially at the European level, that can be considered good practice, or from which lessons can be learned.

It was established in March, and the first project workshop is in May but the end-date is not clear, or at least, I could not find it on the site.

I guess it is aimed at supporting the DEMO-net network of excellence (in which Leeds ICS is (now) a strong player )  and integrating it with the ‘eParticipation and eDemocracy Network‘ on the well known network. I hope that the relationship between all three will become clearer over time.
