Scottish Breakfast Meeting – Edinburgh 23 September

Mary McKenna has asked me to remind you that the Learning Pool is running its next Scottish Breakfast Meeting on Thursday 23 September, in the King James Hotel, Edinburgh.

Speakers and subjects include:

To quote their website:

This free meeting will let us show you how we can help you deliver cost effective learning across your whole organisation.

Learning Pool’s Dave Briggs will be discussing how Local Government organisations can use Social Media as an engagement tool whilst aiding their efficiency savings as well as how social media can be used in local government and the wider public sector.

Dave has been working with government and politicians to help them understand what the internet can do for them, including a period within the Strategic Communications Unit at 10 Downing Street.

Our guest speaker on the day will be Carol Woolley from Worcestershire County Council, sharing some stories on their e-learning and how it’s helped them.

Donald Clark, School Governor and revered e-learning commentator will also be speaking about “Training in times of recession”.

There seem to be plenty of places left.

Annoyingly, I won’t be able to be along because I will be off presenting at the PEP-NET summit in Hamburg. Ain’t synchronicity a killer?

This is the second time I’ve missed the chance to see David Briggs in action. One day, one day…

  1. Hi Peter,

Thanks for promoting the breakfast meeting! We’re really looking forward to our first Scottish event as Glasgow residents! Enjoy Hamburg and hopefully you can make the next event!

  2. My pleasure! I hope it goes well, and see you around, no doubt. Give me a shout if you’ll be through in Edinburgh again, for instance at #EdCM – (though I know that’d involve getting up at an awful early time)
